"I wish that when I was growing
up there had been a book like this for me
and my friends. The information and knowledge
that You Glow Girl! The Ultimate Health &
Skin Care Guide for Teens provides is well
overdue and there has never been a book like
it ever.
When
I was growing up we were not provided the
knowledge about sun damage to the skin,
For example, I became a life guard and enjoyed
every moment of turning my skin a dark golden
brown. Little did I realize the harm that
I was causing to my skin. We were simply
not informed about the potential dangers
of UVA and UVB rays.
Sometimes I am quite
surprised to see some of my young friends
turn their beautiful hair a totally different
color. As the months pass by the lustre
from their once healthy shiny hair becomes
dull and damaged. Others add highlights
to an otherwise beautiful shade of natural
looking hair only to create an unnatural
appearance.
In this book, I have
shown you how you can be the "best"
you can possibly be without taking drastic
measures to completely change your look
where your parents might not even recognize
you at first glance! I have taken different
face shapes and eye color to present the
best hair style and hair color that is most
suitable for your type. The importance of
diet, exercise, sleep, and attitude all
play crucial roles in our lives. Each has
been discussed completely. The end result
is that it is only YOU that can take control
of your life and benefit from living healthy.
All of the knowledge and information has
been provided for you. If you don't already
glow, you will begin glowing from the inside
out! This is true beauty from within. Now
Get Glowing!
When I see young girls
trying to "fit in" with their
peer group it saddens me. If one can develop
a good sound self-esteem, that person can
be their own self. By that I mean one can
say and do what one believes in and totally
enjoy life. Each and everyone of us is unique
in their own way. We all have many wonderful
qualities to offer others and the world
as a whole. If one can realize how very
special they are and completely be themselves
at all times; I have succeeded in my attempts
to help others by writing this book. Everyone
possesses an inner beauty. The trick is
to allow that inner beauty to shine and
glow to everyone we encounter each day."
